Art and the Spanish Civil War Cause, effect and practice of War

What you will see The slides show art work by artists who were making a statement about the war or mention writers who impacted public perception of the war. The art community was strongly opposed to Franco and used their platform to show his brutality. Artists made a huge impact on this war by swaying public opinion

Assignment Find someone to work with and choose one of the artists or writers in this powerpoint to research and analyze. Do more than just a wikipedia search! What was their work? What did it mean? What was its impact? How did if effect the war? If appropriate, interpret the work. Explain the background and connection the artist had to Spain and the war. How else did they get involved in the war?
