IELTS Writing Task 1 (Minimum 150 words 20 minutes) OUTLINE FOR Q. 11

Paragraph 1: Introduction sentence (use your own words when possible): What kind of graph is it? – Bar chart What is its purpose? – To show three types of difficulties people have when they move to another country Time period or main items mentioned (not too many details): – How these difficulties vary with age

Paragraph 2 Biggest Problem (Ex. 10, Q. 3) – Arranging health care Details: – For whom? What percentage? – How does this compare with the other groups?

Paragraph 3 Second biggest problem (Q. 4): – Organizing finances Details: – Who has the most problems related to money? – What percentage? How does this compare with the other groups?

Paragraph 4 What area causes the fewest problems? (Q5): – Education or finding a suitable school for children Details: – Which group had the most difficulty? What percentage? How does this compare to the other groups?

Paragraph 5 Overview (The overview could also be located after the introduction sentence.) Include summary / trends – All groups experience problems to some extent, but which group found the experience the most difficult? Was this a big difference or a slight difference?
