Christmas Eve One of our traditions is Christmas Eve. Family eat 12 dishes, sing carols and share wafer.

„Smigus Dyngus” Śmigus Dyngus is a second day of Easter. It's called Wet Monday too. People (most children) splash water on each other. We have a lot of fun :)

New Year On 31 st December we celebrate „new year coming” ang have a party. At midnight we have fireworks and drink champagne.

Mikolajki 6 th December Santa Claus (in Poland – Święty Mikołaj) comes to children's houses and gives them presents at night. A day before Mikołajki they make „list of wishes”

Barszcz Barszcz – Borsch. Beetroot soup with mushroom dumplings. It’s our traditional dish on Christmas Eve.

Kotlet schabowy Kotlet - Cutlet

Bigos Bigos is a hunters’ dish with sauerkraut, meat and sausage. It doesn’t look good but it’s delicious.

Karp Karp – Carp It’s another Christmas Eve dish.

Pierogi Pierogi – Dumplings. It’s the most famous Polish dish. We eat them stuffed with almost everything. The most popular are „Ruskie” „Russian” stuffed with cottage cheese, potatoes and onion. Nobody knows why are they called Russian
