User’s Guide  Introductory text, but full OIE Standard explaining the Terrestrial Code, its various purposes and how it should be utilised;  Specific points pending from 2014 (first adoption) were adopted: how the absence of OIE recommendations should be interpreted; use of animals (re working equids); safe commodities  Work for consistency with the Aquatic

Prepare for the 84 th General Session (2016) Terrestrial Code Where to find information?  Amendments under discussion and texts potentially to be proposed for adoption are in the Report of Sep TAHSC meeting  Delegates have been notified of TAHSC report available (unofficial version); official version (with FR and ES) available end of October

How to prepare?  Review, consult with experts and stakeholders, collate comments  Give access to your Focal Points for expert review  Prepare your positions, share with other Members AND  Send comments to OIE by the deadline for text circulated for comments

Do not forget!  Important background information and responses to Member comments can be found in other reports Therefore:  Review the SCAD report!  Review AHG reports (in SCAD and TAHSC reports)!  details of text developments  rationale for accepting/rejecting Members’ comments

At the World Assembly?  No major changes will be made during the World Assembly!  Therefore engage in the commenting process throughout the process.
