The Avalon Advantage The importance of Asia - Tourism Asian Markets continue to increase in importance. For year ending September 2013, visitors from Asian markets accounted for almost one-half of total international visitors to Victoria (47%, or 906,200), compared to just over a third in 2008 (37%, or 551,700). Visitors from Asian markets to Victoria have grown by 10.4% per annum over the last five years, while Western Hemisphere markets have increased by 1.8% per annum. 10
