There are children with needs who aren’t getting any help or support Those who are receiving services are not necessarily getting the right kind of help and support We tend to intervene too late and to be reactive rather than proactive What stops us from getting things right (or at least doing things better)? Why is the Programme being offered? There is a mismatch between children’s need and service provision Working in silos Understanding and analysing our evidence base Constraints by short-term financial planning Learning how to do things differently Implementation of change

Programme of work between CPPs, Scottish Government and children and families which aims:  to improve joint strategic planning and commissioning of services  to closely align to the public service reform programme End to end programme supporting all stages of the joint strategic commissioning cycle through:  a commitment to collation and use of data and evidence on children’s needs and experiences  a focus on collaboration, partnership & co-production  a series of development sessions and facilitated workshops What is RCS?
