A Father’s Love Is A Dividing Love – “give me my share of the estate.” A Grieving Love –He grieved over the son’s rebellious spirit –He grieved over the son’s rejection of family –He grieved over the son’s running away.

A Father’s Love Is A Lasting Love “His love endures forever” –He never stopped looking for his son to return –He never stopped loving his son in spite of all the hurt and pain.

A Father’s Love Is A Forgiving Love –“He was filled with compassion” –“He ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.” –He reinstated his son to the position of son ship 1.Robe- sign of honor 2.Ring – sign of identity/family/authority 3.Shoes – sign of freedom 4.Fatted Calf – sign of celebration
