Frequency  2.3 million people world wide

Treatment  No cure  Aim of treatment for individuals to live as independently as possible with the highest quality of life  Disability aid devices  Wheelchair for loss of movement in the lower body  Electric wheelchair for loss of movement in lower and upper body  Orthoses/ neuroprosthesis

Ways to avoid it  Use protective gear while playing sports  Be careful when doing activities that can harm you
