+ What is a Spreadsheet? A set of columns and rows in which data is entered and organized Allows users to perform simple and complex sorting Allows users to perform calculations on values entered into the program Values can be analyzed, graphed and printed

+ Used to prepare: personal budgets forecast budgets daily sales reports financial statements recording student grades

+ Terms CELL A single box on the spreadsheet where data can be stored The intersection of a column and a row i.e. A2 is a cell, B4 is a cell.

+ Terms CELL ADDRESS Indicates the location of the cell within the spreadsheet (Name of the Cell) Ex: D25 (Column D, Row 25)

+ Terms CELL RANGE: Indicates a group of cells Ex: (B5:B11). These are all the cells in column B from Row 5 to Row 11
