P2MP LSP for IPTV 이동 무선 네트워크 연구실 홍 석 준

Conditions for QoS guranteed IPTV Guranteed bandwidth for video flows ranging in size from up to 300Mbps Low jitter for high priority video traffic, even in the presence of congestion. Typical target network values are the order of 1ms with interface de-synchronisation producing <500ns jitter on the video stream Minimal packet loss following failure of links or network components

RSVP and IP Multicast P2P RSVP based traffic engineering – E2E bandwidth reservations – Traffic engineering capability – Fast failover IP Multicast – bandwidth efficient – No traffic engineering – Slow failover

Point-to-multipoint Label Switched Paths (P2MP LSPs) Features – Same bandwidth efficiency as IP Multicast – Same bandwidth reservation and traffic engineering properties as regular point to point LSPs – Tree and branch structure in which replication of MPLS packets occurs at branching points – Introduced in October 2004 (Internet draft)

An application of P2MP LSPs
