Summary Ronald Reagan was a great president. When he increasingly reduced taxes, Americans were very pleased. Ronald Reagan's biggest accomplishment in presidency was to improve the self confidence that America had by strengthening the nation's economy. He did this by reducing prices, increasing employment and cutting taxes to nearly 25 percent. He also started a war against drugs, limit the growth of social spending, and increasing defense spending and built up the military. Although, when he gave speeches he had false information. Americans were very upset by the dishonest speeches.
