Massachusetts Bay Colony By: Sophie, Aleaha, and Patrick

In 1630 England founded the Massachusetts Bay Colony. This is now known as Boston, Massachusetts. What Country Founded your Colony? Thanks. to

Was the colony successful? The colony was successful because it started with only a few thousand and grew to be what is now the city of Boston. Massachusetts became the 6th state to ratify the constitution.

Who was the leader? John Winthrop became leader in When he arrived,a colony of Puritans was already there. Thanks to Teachpol.tcnj.edu.

How did they get along with the Indians? The Puritans mistrusted the Indians. They brought soldiers with them for protection. In 1637, they went to war with the Pequots.
