Trail of tears BY: JOSH AND COLIN

Trail of tears food  These are some things that they ate  The beans were dried out and were good  In the description

Weapons of the trail of tears  These weapons were used to defend their food and young  They got the musket when they were traveling they found them

Where did they get moved to  In 1838, the Cherokee people were removed from their lands in the Southeastern United States to the Indian Territory which I s today Oklahoma in the Western United States. In the same year of 1838 about 2,000 Cherokee had left their homes in Georgia.

What did they believe in  The Cherokees believed this sole Author of creation was with them and they with God by His blessing of mankind with animals and all plant and vegetable life. Their religious worship very close the Mosiac institution in the Old Testament of the Bible. They were not pagans and were warned each year by their priests, just as the Old Testament

What they dressed like  The Cherokee wore clothing made from animal skins before. Even into the 1800's the men wore the leggings made of deer hide in order to protect their legs from thorns and underbrush.

What was there transportation  Before the Europeans came and brought horses, the Cherokee travelled by foot or by canoe. They used trails and rivers to travel between villages. They made canoes by hollowing out large tree logs.

Where do they live now Today the Eastern Band includes about 11,000 members, while the Cherokee Nation in Oklahoma claims more than 100,000 members, making the Cherokee the second largest tribe in the United States.
