WHY HAVE NEW STUDENT TRAINING?

Provides your organization with a solid foundation Orients new student members to the organization Gives members a sense of purpose Helps members understand the importance of the organization Opens the lines of communication among all members

THINGS TO INCLUDE IN TRAINING Mission and expectations Review of constitution Goals (i.e. programming, collaboration) Diversity and inclusion Campus resources (i.e. Student Engagement and Leadership, SGA, Finance Committee) Leadership activities and bonding time Planning projects and programs for the year

TRANSITION PLAN FOR AUGUST/SEPTEMBER: Design organization and new student training Add the following to myMount:  Constitution  Meeting agenda template  Past meeting agendas  Program assessments  Current budget and last year’s budget usage (Spring allocations)  End of year report
