Texas RACES Program The Texas RACES program currently has over 350 members and continues to receive new applications. The program is administered at DPS HQ, Austin but, is decentralized down to the county level. The program also incorporates state agencies that have radio equipment that is authorized for use during emergencies.

CHANGES SINCE LAST YEAR PACTOR III Modems purchased and laptops obtained to support Go Kits previously deployed. DPS Communications working to provide additional radios to Disaster Districts (DDC) sites not supplied with Go Kits. SRO looking into creating a new RACES position that would Coordinate with DROs with the identification and exercising RACES support to the DDCs. Position would be located in the Austin area and would deploy to the CCG Camp Mabry site During activations.
