1 Corinthians 1:1-9 (NIV) 1 Paul, called to be an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and our brother Sosthenes, 2 To the church of God in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be holy, together with all those everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ--their Lord and ours: 3 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 4 I always thank God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus.

5 For in him you have been enriched in every way--in all your speaking and in all your knowledge-- 6 because our testimony about Christ was confirmed in you. 7 Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed. 8 He will keep you strong to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 God, who has called you into fellowship with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful.

About Corinth

1. We are the “Church of God” “To the church of God in Corinth” We belong to God, and He is not ashamed of us! 4. We are “enriched in every way” 5 For in him you have been enriched in every way--in all your speaking and in all your knowledge-- 2 Peter 1:3 (NIV) 3 His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.

5. We do not lack any “spiritual gifts” Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed. Ephesians 4:11-13 (NIV) 11 It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, 12 to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

6. We will be kept “strong until the end and blameless” He will keep you strong to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:57-58 (NIV) 57 But thanks be to God!
