Who is Mentor?

Coach or Mentor?

Coach – Will help you to do what you NEED to DO Mentor – Will help you to do what you WANT to DO

MENTEES What are the Attributes you are looking for, in YOUR Mentor?

THE FIRST MEETING Questions from CURE Scholars to their Mentors.

QUESTIONS FROM CURE SCHOLARS How did you get your Ph.D. so young, and what are the benefits? What were some things you struggled with, while in college? What life event made you pick your field?

QUESTIONS FROM CURE SCHOLARS Where do you get your data from, that helps you find a stepping stone to start your research? If you could give your younger self some professional advice what would that be?

QUESTIONS FROM CURE SCHOLARS How did you go about achieving the successes that you have? What was the hardest, yet most valuable lesson you learned in your professional career?

WHAT RESEARCH SAYS 1. What was the turning point in your life from where I am now? 2. How do you spend most of your time, when away from your work? 3. What used to be your biggest weaknesses? 4. What are you most proud of? 5. Who else would you recommend I connect with? Adapted from: Bert Gervais, of “Success Mentor Education”.
