You have been chosen to undergo training in the management of epilepsy, so that you will know how to recognize, treat, and follow-up people with epilepsy. Why is the Fight Against Epilepsy Initiative important? Too often, people with epilepsy are unable to access treatment even though it is effective and affordable. With treatment, 70% of people with epilepsy can lead normal lives. The Initiative seeks to help people access treatment, and one of the ways is to train health care workers in epilepsy management.
