 School expects the same kinds of behavior that a boss will: › Be Prepared. › Be there, and do the work. › Be trustworthy. › Be a self-starter. › Treat others respectfully. › Be flexible and open-minded. › Follow school & safety rules.

 Every student has the right to a safe and secure classroom; you do not have the right to impede or jeopardize that in any way.  Be respectful of yourself, your environment, your fellow classmates, and your teacher.  Treat others the way you want to be treated.

 Act rationally; choose wisely.  Recognize your own role in building a fun and productive community of learners.  Pay attention and don’t talk during demonstrations and lectures.  Listen to directions carefully. › repeating directions wastes class time and is annoying.

 Bring your folder to class daily.  Take your seat upon entering the classroom.  Be prepared to get to work.

1. Follow directions the first time they are given. 2. Be in your seat and ready to work when class begins, remain seated unless told to do otherwise. 3. Bring appropriate materials to class. Ex. books, paper pencils, etc. 4. Raise hand and wait to be recognized before speaking. 5. Keep hands, feet, objects, and inappropriate comments to yourself.

 The more I trust the class, the more freedom you will have in the classroom. › Students often create the need for many of the rules we already have.  Your behavior shall not interfere with another student’s ability to complete their work. › Many people cannot concentrate with loud talking.  Choose your words carefully. › Inappropriate language is unacceptable.

 Paper is always available, but don’t be wasteful. › Copy paper can be used whenever needed. › Be sure to recycle any discarded paper.

 Put it back where you got it. › if you don’t know where it goes, ask someone.  Continue to work until signaled to clean up. › No excuses for wasting time.  Clean your area properly if needed. › wipe your table and make sure the floor is clean around you.  Sponges, paper towels, and soap are located at the sink area for use.
