Freeware Software that is available for use at no cost or for an optional fee, but usually with one or more restricted usage rights. ADVANTAGES:DISADVANTAGES: -It is free -Easy to download -Covered by Copyright -Could possibly carry computer viruses & Trojan horses - If modify programs must also be freeware

Shareware / Trialware Shareware is software that you can try before you buy and Trialware stands for trial software. They both mean any time-limited or feature-limited software that allows users to try out the software before they purchase it. ADVANTAGES:DISADVANTAGES: -It can be copied - Under copyright - You can try out the software before purchasing it -Only a trial -Shareware cannot be modified -Limited time of use

Single License: Software that you only have the right to store the corresponding software on the hard drive of single compatible PC owned by you. ADVANTAGES:DISADVANTAGES: - Cheaper than purchasing a site license - One server -Cannot be installed for free on different computers

Site License Type of software licensing agreement that grants the purchaser permission to use the software on a network on a single site, with an unlimited number of end users. ADVANTAGES:DISADVANTAGES: -Can copy and use software on multiple computers at one site - Less expensive then purchasing a copy for each computer at the site - More expensive than purchasing a single copy - Maximum specified number of immediate end users

Concurrent Licensing A software licensing model based on the number of users accessing the program simultaneously. ADVANTAGES:DISADVANTAGES: -Can be shared among group of people on shared network but do not require access at all times. -Users allowed to run program only while on connected network -Expensive
