Motivation This contribution proposes a 1-bit HARQ feedback This feedback is compatible with HARQ joint coding method proposed in contribution C80216m- 09_0046r1 The proposed design can provide better performance in high mobility
Existing Design and New Design An existing design –IEEE C80216m-08_1057r2 –12 orthogonal sequences –6 for ACK and 6 for NACK –6 independent HARQ channels for 6 users –Distribute the code on three 2x6 or 6x2 resource tile –Non-coherent detection is used to detect code sequence New design –Each HARQ channel chooses two sequences S i and S j from these 12 sequences to construct a new sequence –ACK= –NACK= No.orthogonal Sequence S1S S2S S3S S4S S5S S6S S7S S8S S9S S S S
Performance Comparison Similar performance is achieved at 3km/hr and 120km/hr When mobility is 350km/hr, around 2dB performance gain be achieved at detection error rate=10 -4 Channel Bandwidth10MHz Over-sampling Factor28/25 FFT Size1024 Cyclic prefix (CP) ratio1/8 Channel conditionPB3, VA120, VA350 The number of antennasTx:1, Rx:2 ModulationPAM FMT size6x2 Block size6x6 ReceiverHARQ FB: non-coherent detection, MLD
Conclusion The proposed method is robust for mobility. Text proposal is in C802.16m-09/0225
