VOTER REGISTRATION AND BEYOND DST CHAPTERS HAVE REGISTERED THOUSANDS OF VOTERS RESULTING IN AN INCREASE IN THE NUMBER OF REGISTERED VOTERS VOTER REGISTRATION DID NOT RESULT IN VOTER TURNOUT DESPITE INCREASED VOTER REGISTRATION VOTER TURNOUT DECLINED DURING NON-PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS OVERALL VOTER TURNOUT CONTINUES TO DECLINE IN GENERAL ELECTIONS REGISTERED VOTERS ARE LESS ENGAGED AND EASILY DISSUADED FROM VOTING

THE NEXT STEP: INCREASING OUR VOICE VOTER TURNOUT - MORE SO THAN VOTER REGISTRATION - MAKES ELECTED OFFICIALS LISTEN “IT TAKES 2" IS DESIGNED TO INCREASE VOTER TURNOUT AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT ACROSS THE STATE “IT TAKES 2” ENGAGES EVERY SOROR WITHOUT OVERBURDENING ANY ONE SOROR “IT TAKES 2" CAN HAVE A HUGE IMPACT ON VOTER TURNOUT – TWO PEOPLE AT A TIME WHEN EVERY SOROR TAKES A SMALL STEP - DST MAKES A ENORMOUS DIFFERENCE IN VOTER TURNOUT
