What is Smart Assessor ?  Smart Assessor is a fresh and innovative web hosted e- portfolio designed to make evidencing more enjoyable for all learners. The Smart Assessor app enables you to access a learner's portfolio from any tablet or smart phone offline even when you do not have an internet connection. Unlike other e-portfolios the app works with laptops too!  We are rolling out this e-portfolio for all learners registered on Apprenticeships from 1 st January 2014.

Why move towards e-portfolios ?  Using electronic portfolios makes it quick and easy to track exactly how well your learners or students are progressing at the click of a button. Instant and dynamic reports make Ofsted and SFA audits easier and awarding body moderators appreciate the flexibility of remotely being able to login and sample portfolios.  Smart Assessor is much more than an e-portfolio, you can interact more deeply and frequently with your learners whilst reducing your travel time by 25% which means that your learners receive a more fulfilling experience whilst you get more done with less stress.

The Phone / Tablet / Laptop App  Smart Assessor have created an offline app for our clients which will enable them to use Smart Assessor without having to be connected to the internet for mobile and remote working.  Whether you are on a construction site or inside a hair salon you can now use the Smart Assessor app to evidence competence with photos, videos and audio on a smart phone or tablet whilst offline and synchronise it to the live portfolio when you next have an internet connection.  Works with Apple and Android devices.
