Communitybuilders - £70m fund investing a mix of loans, grants and business support in neighbourhood-based community-led organisations planning to be more sustainable through community regeneration projects Investment and Contract Readiness Fund (OCS) - £10 million fund to help social ventures prepare themselves to raise additional social investment and/or to run public services Community Assets and Services Grants (Community Right to Challenge and Community Ownership and Management of Assets )- £27m grants fund for organisations wanting to bid to deliver public services or take on community assets Social Enterprise Investment Fund (DoH) - £100m fund investing in organisations delivering health and social care outcomes, especially those looking to deliver innovative solutions Social Action Fund – (OCS) £20m grant fund aimed at inspiring organisations to create new social action opportunities through people giving time, money, or assets, knowledge and skills Futurebuilders (OCS) - circa £200m, promoted third sector involvement in delivering public services ACF Main Investment - £12m invested in community enterprises Our funds

Large Liverpool-based community anchor in deprived area Own and manage a number of community facilities in the neighbourhood providing sports facilities, vocational training, adult education, community catering, building maintenance, environmental services and a farm. Delivers wide variety of public service contracts including health and education AVCT and sister companies employ over 80 staff, provide 45 paid training opportunities and have combined turnover in excess of £3m Investments from ACF, Futurebuilders, Communitybuilders and SEIF – enabled purchase and refurbishment of local sports centre, creation of dedicated training centre and catering training facility, purchase and refurbishment of a disused convent to expand training on offer Alt Valley Community Trust (AVCT)

Community based charity in Hebden Bridge in Yorkshire Local town hall which was the previous supplier of many of the community services was at risk of closure after Calderdale Council re-organised. HBCA worked to undertake an asset transfer of the town hall which was achieved in 2010 Received a Communitybuilders feasibility grant to develop plans for extension and refurbishment of the building Communitybuilders then made a main investment of £2m (loan and grant) to undertake the work, also ERDF funding Building works are underway and when complete the town hall will offer community meeting rooms, units for start-up and developing businesses, office accommodation for Council services and event space. Hebden Bridge Community Association (HBCA)
