Health Impact Assessment for Healthy Places: A Guide for Planning and Public Health Module 5: Reporting Goals: The goals of this step are to determine the best way to report HIA findings in formats appropriate for various target audiences and to use this process as a tool for relationship building.

Formulate recommendations Describe effective and appropriate ways to present results Determine what to include in the report Identify opportunities for community involvement Module 5: Objectives

What had been done elsewhere? Use common sense What is feasible? Provide several options Look to stakeholders for creative solutions Consider incentives such as tax breaks and a quick approval process How to Formulate Recommendations

Who is the audience? What are the barriers for that audience? What is the bias of the audience? How to Produce Effective HIA Documents
