Writing 4 Point Argumentative Responses

DIRECTIONS Read all readings first Look at what the question or statement is asking you to do. Write a topic sentence Write a claim/argument (without personal reference) Cite evidence (direct quotes with citation) Use arguments from all sources provided

EXAMPLE Spiderman saved more lives than Superman. During the invasion by the Green Goblin, Spiderman was a true hero. “Spiderman saved 1,500 civilians from death” (Clark 50). However, Superman was brave as well, but not as brave as Spiderman. “Superman saved 1,000 people from death” (Yurko 25). Overall, Spiderman is a true super hero.

TODAY’S PROMPTS 1. Sparta should have helped Athens fight against the Persians during the Persian Wars. 2. Sparta shouldn’t have helped Athens fight against the Persians during the war. 3.
