Vanesa Powers, Chapter Relations Specialist Provides chapter administrative support such as accessing reports, how-tos, posting chapter information and other general assistance.

Chapters drive value for Members! Route for member networking. Pathway to leadership development and opportunities at the local and national level. Road to educational forums both with National and in a local setting tailored to local needs. Chapters drive value for National! Byway to learn about trends and emerging issues. Dashboard Discussion Purpose: To rev up a discussion that builds a dashboard to help drive chapter and National success. Caveat: Each chapter is unique. Let’s work together to identify best practices that may be modified for chapters of different sizes. Structure: Focus on four dashboard indicators important to both chapters and National. –Leadership –Chapter Administration and Operations –Member Involvement –Member Services 7

Dashboard Indicator #1 Leadership Examining the efforts of National and Chapters to develop chapter leadership and build leadership pipelines. 8

Chapter Needs Improved connection between Chapters and National and forward movement together Leadership Development (delegation, mentoring, working with volunteers and leading across the age divide). CR Support One-on-one calls Delivering leadership training through available outlets—Chapters Connect (tips), Chapter Leader Webinars (how-tos) and Fall/Summer Leadership Summits (professional training) Dashboard Indicator #1 Current Status Leadership 9

Dashboard Indicator #2 Chapter Administration & Operations Examination of National and Chapters to support chapter ability to establish and implement policies and procedures, use chapter administration best practices and support leadership transitions. 10
