Today we will review how to determine synonyms and antonyms

What are synonyms?  Synonyms are words that have the same or similar meaning  The words means the same thing!

What are antonyms?  Antonyms are words that have opposite meanings.  The words are different!

How can I remember?  Synonym and Same both start with an S  Antonym is the opposite!

How do you figure it out?  1. Read the word in the question ONLY.  2. Think about what it means.  3. Double Check: Is the question asking for a Synonym or Antonym?  4. Look at ALL of your choices and think about what they mean.  5. Choose the best option.
