The Holy Spirit Accomplished What He Had Begun Luke 2 provides us with a brief account of the birth of Jesus. The events are marvelous, but Luke’s presentation of them is low key, simply stated, without embellishment. We observe in his words how God keeps His promises.
God is able to work out His plan for our lives just as He did in the birth of Jesus. How do we respond when God scraps our plans and puts His own plans in place in our lives? When has God done this in your life? How did you respond?
To what calling or command of God do I need to respond in obedience, depending on the Holy Spirit for help? What steps will I take this week to do what God is calling me to do?
For what do I need to pray that God will give me wisdom or understanding through His Spirit? How will I pray for that this week? How will I plan to react next time things don’t go as planned, trusting God to work it out for good?
