RACE and RACIAL DISCRIMINATION People who share the same physical features are referred to as a ‘race’. These different features evolved in the ancestors of modern man, to allow them to live successfully in the different climates on earth. But over the years they have mixed together and intermarried, so that in many countries the people are a mixture of different races.

Three main groups of races CAUCASOIDS – white or light coloured skin, wavy, straight or curly hair, narrow noses, thin lips, high forehead, small teeth. NEGROIDS – dark or black skin, woolly hair, broad noses, thick lips, very tall or very small. NEGROIDS – dark or black skin, woolly hair, broad noses, thick lips, very tall or very small. MONGOLOIDS – yellow skinned, dark straight hair, high cheekbones, large teeth and a little fold of skin on the upper eyelid.
