Nelson County December CDIP Update

Goal: Professional Growth and Effectiveness System: Increase the percentage of effective teacher from ____ in 2015 to ____ in Objective: Data is currently unavailable. Goal and objective data will be set in 2015 after baseline data has been received from first year of implementation. Strategy: The District will utilize the systems within the Professional Growth and Effectiveness System through Professional Learning and Support, the collection and use of data, the KY TELL Survey, Human capital management and development, and the Val-Ed survey to move teacher to effectiveness. Activity: The district will develop a timeline for scaling up to full implementation of PGES (TPGES and PPGES)

Nelson County PGES Scale up to full implementation Timeline for spring 2014 January  Remainder of supervisory staff complete proficiency through TeachScape.  All certified staff will log onto CIITS and resolve any login issues.  All staff will register for peer observation in CIITS.  All staff will be given copies of the Framework for Teaching to begin to review.  PGES updates and newsletters shared at LPLC.  50/50 committee will be formed and have first meeting to revise current evaluation documents alignment to PGES model evaluation created by the state.

February  Schools will continue to review the FfT at faculty meetings and/or PLCs. Documentation of review will be submitted to directors.  All certified staff will have begun the Peer Observer training.  PGES updates and newsletters shared at LPLC.  50/50 committee will continue to meet for review of evaluation documents and alignment to PGES model evaluation created by the state.  Student Growth goals created by staff will be shared and reviewed at LPLC.

March  Schools will continue to review the FfT at faculty meetings and/or PLCs. Documentation of review will be submitted to directors.  PGES updates and newsletters shared at LPLC.  All certified staff will continue work the Peer Observer training.  50/50 committee have completed a working draft of the new evaluation system.  TeachScape proficiency videos will be reviewed at LPLC

April  Schools will continue to review the FfT at faculty meetings and/or PLCs. Documentation of review will be submitted to directors.  All certified staff will have completed the Peer Observer training.  PGES updates and newsletters shared at LPLC. May  Status review of PGES at the LPLC  Finalize summer and fall roll out of district-wide PGES and new evaluation system.
