EUROPEAN EXPLORATION 1450 -1650 Essential Questions: What were the motivations behind European exploration? What civilizations and/or societies populated the America’s and what were their origins? What areas were explored and claimed by European Empires in the Americas? What was the effect of all of these explorations and claims?
