Formal Prayer Chapter 23 Lesson 4

The Church is a community that prays together. As a part of the liturgy Private devotion It is important to have formal prayer so that we can pray together It helps us to unite our hearts and minds to God in the prayer of the Church as a whole. Can you give examples of the Church praying together in liturgy and in private devotion?

Turn to page 149, read from middle of first column to end of chapter. How is the Mass the perfect prayer? How is the Mass the supreme act of worship? In the Mass, how do we use vocal and meditative prayer? In the Mass, where do we see the four ends/reasons for prayer?
