7 A vision A driver has GPS SatNav and e-Call fitted in his car. The data system is linked to pay-per-mile insurance, with a daily automatic download to the insurer. The same equipment is configured to download usage information to a separate service provider, who calculates the road pricing charge and bills the driver. The interaction between the driver and Government is second-hand, being covered by the service provider. The service provider is assured by Government and has a Service Level Agreement.
