Teaching and Learning with Computers in the Classroom Being able to accept change is an important obstacle to overcome as a young person. Change is constantly happening, and it is important for the growth of an individual to be open and critical to the constant surge of new ideas. Using computer technology I hope to gain the interest of the Y Generation in the classroom to encourage them to learn. Many interactive tools are used for the advancement of their previous knowledge as well as any new information and ideas they will acquire.

Positive or Negative Views on Computer Based Teaching Positives -information easily accessible -many examples of information -excellent learning materials available -easy to monitor student behaviour Negatives -students can easily get off topic -hard to monitor lesson progression -students are sedentary -false information online

Creating Positive Experiences As a beginning teacher it is to our benefit to accompany lessons with computer technologies. Computers are a part of the youth’s daily life, so to be able to relate any lessons with computers is beneficial for teachers and students. I feel that I am competent to include many aspects of computer based experiences in the classroom for active and engaged learning to occur.
