FdSc 3D Animation & Games Development PITCH

Pitch  Introduction  Ideas / pre-visualizations  Inspiration  Research  Development  Tests  Production Schedule  Production Cost

Introduction  Introduce yourself  Your idea/s

Idea/s  Talk through your idea in more depth  Immures the audience into your game world

Pre-Visualisation  Concepts  Early stages of design work

Inspiration  Everything that you have looked at to form your idea  Relevant images, videos, games, etc.

Research  Similar to inspiration, but its everything you looked at once you conceptualised your initial idea.  Example:  1950’s game  Clothing of that year?  Cars of that year?  Characters of that year?  Etc.

Development  Once you have your idea/s you need to develop different scenario’s, locations, era’s, etc.  Example:  Racing game Futuristic, Historic, Present day? European, American, Asian etc.

Tests  If you are proposing to create the next Forza Horizon’s then I expect to see some form of evidence that this can be achieved.  Such as:  Images  Videos  Renders  Models  Animatics  Etc.

Production Schedule  This is where you will summarise what you hope to achieve and by what dates  Tip: Use Microsoft Excel or Project to create this

Production Costs  This is where you will talk about how much you feel the production will cost. You can break it down by using and not limiting yourself to the following headings:  Software  Hardware  Wages  Stock footage (you won’t actually use in your assignment)  Development kits  Etc.

Finally….  Your pitch should last at least 10 minutes  Include videos and images if necessary  Don’t forget to Research!  Stylize your slides to match your idea  Make it look nice
