Standards in action: A citizen needs’ service profiler Proposition Could an online app use the standards to deliver a self service needs assessment to suggest appropriate services?

Assumptions –That the information standards are fit for purpose. –That many good public and third sector services are not always known by people and frontline workers –That opening up a data model should stimulate the app market to innovate around need assessment, eligibility checking, online applications, self-help groups and more Approach –Workshops in NW region with 2 districts, 1 county, 6 unitary councils, a CVS, 2 frontline charities and housing association –Review the standards and test them out with a prototype App –Develop Business case, Application, Model, Governance
