How can you show explicit (clearly expressed, not vague) support for your answers and why is this important?

Showing support for your response. Using explicit word-for-word quotations from the text itself. Finding the best evidence that supports your answer. Connecting the answer and your support back to the question.

Restate the question to show a clear connection from the question to your answer. Using details from the text, find evidence that proves your answer is correct. Quote the text word-for-word using quotation marks.
