Democracy: A government by the people Sentence: People break off from their countries and form a democracy.

Aristocracy: A government controlled by a few wealthy people Sentence: Few countries are controlled by an aristocracy government.

Philosopher: A person who studies truth and knowledge Sentence: Thales is a famous philosopher.

Immortal: To live forever Sentence: The first Emperor of China, Qin Shi Huangdi wanted to be immortal.

Agora: An outdoor marketplace in Ancient Greece Sentence: Many people in Ancient Greece relied on their agora.

Myth: A traditional story that may include gods and godesses and often tries to explain events in nature Sentence: Ancient Greek is famous for it’s many myths.

Plaque: An epidemic of an often fatal disease Sentence: There was a serious plaque in Athens that killed thousands of people.
