What is Safe? You are held accountable Your actions affect others Unsafe conduct at anytime can result in you finding another class. You can play after school, with your own tools, in your own shop, with no one else around… but not here!

Statistics In 2005 there were 30,700 injuries recorded for the automotive repair industry There were 61 Deaths in 2005 in the automotive repair field 1,191 eye injuries in the automotive repair field –Men account for 81% of these injuries The lab-accident rate in schools and colleges is 100 to 1,000 times greater than at firms like Dow or DuPont. (US Department of Labor)

Falls A construction worker in A construction worker in Truckee, California fell from a ladder face first onto an 18-inch-long, 1.5-inch diameter chip auger drill bit. The bit went into his eye, pushed his brain aside, and travelled through his skull and out the back. Amazingly, he lost only the eye, not his life.
