Names are important to God. Abraham, Genesis 17:1-7 ▫God changed Abram to Abraham – “Father of a multitude” ▫Isaac was not yet born – God reaffirms promises from Genesis 12 ▫The Old Testament revolves around Abraham.

Scripture never refers to the church as Baptist Catholic Lutheran Presbyterian Methodist Seventh Day Adventist Mormon Pentecostal Etc. I ask that my name be left silent and people not call themselves Lutheran, but rather Christians. Who is Luther? The doctrine is not mine. I have been crucified for no one.
