Meeting the W´shop Objectives Introduce the ICAO and SES requirements related to : - SAF Mgnt - SAF REGULATION - QUALITY Mgnt Provide opportunity for an open discussion on the SAF maturity situation in the EMAC Region. Share past experience and propose practical way forward (implementation).

W´shop Objectives and Outcome Gathering of each individual EMAC State’s needs relating to safety and quality aspects. A balance of Short vs Long term needs and targets -Short term – up to end of Longer term – 2 to 3 years General way forward Based on identified needs EUROCONTROL with the support of EUROMED to propose to the SC an implementation plan along the following lines:

W´shop Objectives and Outcome Propose /confirm for… 1.Conducting maturity studies: - Safety management - Safety regulation - and Quality management… leading to an individual confidential report per State plus separate report for EMAC region 2. Training and implementation for (within 2008) - TOKAI (incident investigation) - and ELPAC tools

W´shop Objectives and Outcome Cont., 3. Confirm the project focal points as per the following table 4. Seek approval for a further workshop (Jan 09?) to discuss the safety maturity results (including the July workshop needs) and prepare a proposal for the SC. 5. Aim for : 4 workshops (4 persons/State) in 2009 plus 3 to 4 weekly training sessions (3 persons/State) 6. Workshops : safety targets and safety indicators (safety performance monitoring) Safety promotion and Just culture Contingency planning / Emergency response planning Runway safety Risk assessment and safety case
