Special Olympics Land O’Lakes Unified Soccer Team- Competed at Special Olympics World Games in Los Angeles

Special Olympics Congratulations to the Land O’Lakes Unified Soccer Team they won the Bronze Medal at the Special Olympics World Games in Los Angeles

New Program Titles Purpose: To properly identify the type of supports a student needs as opposed to a categorical eligibility – To move away from program titles, and describe programs that emphasize services – ESE Program Boundaries: Purpose to help schools easily identify grade level feeder patterns (All from student’s zone school)

Canvas: Pulling it all Together

Diploma Update Based on th, 12 th, FAPE (TEP) students can continue to pursue a special diploma or elect to change to standard diploma 9 th and 10 th grade students are ONLY pursuing a standard diploma on access standards (access courses) Course requirements- see Access Credit worksheet Course rotations are sent out in August and should be followed Students should be coded S4 (24 credit) & S8 (18 credit) in TERMS if pursuing a standard diploma through access standards Students should be coded S1 if pursuing a special diploma

High School Diploma Update Deferment o th grade cohort will be first standard diploma access standards students that will apply to defer receipt of their diploma o Students pursuing access standards will most likely defer
