Photovoltaic This is a system that uses solar energy to produce electricity by the photovoltaic effect. There are three types of photovoltaics: Stand alone systems: they aren’t connected to any network, so take advantage of on site electricity produced and stored by the battery; Grid-connected systems: they are connected to an electricity distribution network; Hybrid systems: the remain connected to the electricity distribution network, but primarily use solar energy, through to the accumulator. Energy Project - Celeste G. - 3^B - IIS "G. Garibaldi" - A.S. 2013/2014

Biogas This is a method to save energy by converting the biomass into electricity. Depending on the composition of the substance, we can have a different amount of biogas produced. The availability of biomass would be the quantity of available combustible (methane) that is used to power conversion system (boiler). Biomass, however, must have a steady flow throughout the year and be regularly uploaded into digester in quantity and quality such that the retention times of the whole mixture, because each molecule has a degradation time depends on some factors. Energy Project - Celeste G. - 3^B - IIS "G. Garibaldi" - A.S. 2013/2014

Solar Thermal Solar thermal is a device that allows you to capture solar energy, storing and using it to heat water in substitution of boilers fired by natural gas, or saving electricity. The solar cell is standard device, crossed by a heat transfer fluid funneled into a solar circuit that will take him to an accumulator. Energy Project - Celeste G. - 3^B - IIS "G. Garibaldi" - A.S. 2013/2014
