The Sun NS Grade 4 Module 2: The Earth and Beyond

The Sun The sun is the biggest object in our solar system. The sun’s gravity keeps everything in place. Our sun is a star. What is a solar system? |The sun is at the centre of our solar system.

The Sun A Solar system consist of one sun (star) and all the heavenly bodies that are in orbit around it, namely: Planets and Dwarf planets Satellites (moons) Asteroids Comets Other frozen objects

The Sun What does the sun consist of?

The sun It consist mainly of the gas hydrogen, of which ton is transferred to helium and energy every second. The sun consist of 75 percent hydrogen and 25 percent helium.

The sun Without the sun, no life is possible on planet earth.

The sun The sun gives: Light Heat Energy

The sun What does it look like inside the sun?

The sun

A magnetic “geyser” above a sunspot, an area with a strong magnetic field.

The sun How hot is the sun? * Approximately 5 500°C on its surface. Th e temperature of the gasses around the sun (corona) vary between °C and °C.

The sun In the centre of the sun it is an astonishing … °C

Die Son From the side:

The sun How is a sun (star) born? It is born in a star cloud, called a nebula.
