Recycling At COTC Cynthia Pendleton Business Communication

There are not any recycling containers at COTC  My plan is to change this.

Recycling has been an issue since the 1970’s to conserve energy and protect the planet However, people have been reusing/recycling since the beginning of time

It is easy to recycle RinseFlattenRemove lids Aluminum Cans Cardboard Cartons Office Paper, Newspapers, Magazines Just Toss In A Bin Plastic Bottles

My proposal is to start a recycling program at the Mount Vernon COTC campus at no cost to the school. The benefit of a recycling program will reduce waste. We can use the money made by selling aluminum to reward students; for instance, snacks, mugs, pens, pencils, drinking glasses.

The Knox County Recycling Center offers seminars to teach how to recycle and the benefits of recycling. My plan is to contact them to come to campus to provide students and staff information regarding benefits of recycling.

Recycling containers will be provided and strategically placed throughout the building. Each month we can appoint one or two people to collect the recyclable items and take them to the local recycling center.

The solution will be less waste and more benefits to the students by using the money for rewards. When we recycle, we will be showing our support for the recycling gambit. When recycling bins are available, students and staff will have the opportunity to share in the satisfaction that they can make a difference.
