 What’s the population of the Philippines?  The current population of the Philippines is 107,668,231.  The capital of the city:  Manila, Philippines  To the side is a image of the Philippines flag:  Geographical features of the country: Philippine archipelago is about 7,107 islands located near Southeast Asia's water bodies the South China Sea, Philippine Sea, Sulu Sea, Celebes Sea, and Luzon Strait. Visayas which are large fields of grass Mount Apo mountains Mayon volcano Panay Beach very lovely with palm trees and a lot of shade. Weather/climate: mostly is tropical marine because it’s a lot of island near the ocean. The Northeast monsoon ( November through April) Southwest monsoon ( May to October)

 Some history in the Philippines : The Philippines first started off by being a Spanish colony in the very early century's. Later the US ceded them in the 1898 coming to the event the Spanish-American war Philippines became its own government commonwealth. Manuel QUEZON was president trying to make the country a free independence country after a decade of transition. During 1942 all the islands fell apart through Japanese control in World War, US forces and Filipinos fought together to regain control. Finally in 4 July 1946 the Republic of the Philippines attained its independence.
