Grants Aiming High Funding Provides funding for local activities for the child with ADHD and/or towards a family or residential holiday. The young person must be under 18 years old. You will need to specify the activity/holiday, organisation providing activity, dates and cost. Application to be completed by a professional who supports your child / young person. AH funding comes from Achieving for Children. Deadline date for summer holidays is 8 th July, although it is recommend to do it as soon as you are able.

Grants Aiming High Additional Funding Provides additional funding to enable a mainstream activity provider to give your child / young person extra support by increasing the staff ratio. The young person must by under 18 years old. Application to be completed by the activity provider you and your child have chosen AH additional funding comes from Achieving for Children. Deadline date for summer holidays is 8 th July, although it is recommend to do it as soon as you are able.

Grants Aiming High Merlin Pass Lottery If your child /young person receives the Disability Living Allowance, and is aged between 3 and 18 years, you will be able to enter into the monthly draw for an annual family Merlin Pass * *up to 5 members of the family – maximum of 3 adults (adults classified as 12 years and over). You only have to apply once to go in the draw each month.. To apply for the Aiming High Funding, Aiming High Additional Funding and/or Aiming High Merlin Pass Lottery you need to be living in the boroughs of Richmond or Kingston

Funding Funding can be used to pay for an activity or a holiday. You need to be in receipt of a means tested benefit or on a low income. Your child must be under18 years old and have a disability. Disability Awareness Card (superseded the I-Count Card in Kingston borough) This is an identity card produced by Achieving for Children. If you go somewhere that offers a discount for disability, it will show that your child has a special need. To be eligible your child needs to be on the Children’s Disability Register for Kingston or Richmond borough. Richmond Card This is a card for Richmond borough residents (children and adults). You can get discounts for various activities at leisure centres. Applications can be picked up at leisure centres or you can apply online at The cost for children and young people is free, however, for adults it is £ If you register with the Richmond Carers Centre, you can get a discount as a carer and pay just £6.90. Discounts for Leisure Activities Active Kingston Card This is a discount leisure card for residents of the Kingston Borough available to children with disabilities and carers. The cost is £2 and applications can be picked up at most leisure centres and libraries. Cinema Exhibition Card (CEA) This is a cinema discount card for carers. Any responsible one adult who goes to the cinema with the child who has a disability gets in free. To be eligible the child or young person must be in receipt of DLA. Parent carer can apply online or send application in post. Application forms can be picked up from cinemas. Prove of DLA must be sent together with processing fee of £6 and passport photo of child. Please note children must be 8 years or over to be eligible.

Respite Sitting & Befriending Service Organised by RUILS For children and young people with any disability up to aged 25. Also applies to their siblings. The service is free, the time of the sitter / befriender to be paid for Sue Robson Tel:
