Composition Drill: GLUE YOUR SHOE DRAWING IN YOUR SKETCHBOOK. Describe your artwork from yesterday: a.What size was the shoe on the paper? Small, medium, large? Did it fill the space? b.Which view did you draw? Front, side, bottom, angle? c.Where is the shoe’s placement on the paper? TWO PAGE SPREAD FOR LESSON IS AT YOUR TABLE. Objective: You will analyze artworks and detect qualities in artworks in order to make more interesting compositions.

Create a 2 page spread: COMPOSITION Composition is… SIZE PLACEMENT MULTIPLE VIEW Trace OUTSIDE of frame. Fit 4 on 2 pages.

DRILL: 1.What is asymmetry? 2.What is negative space? 3.Describe the placement of the shoe in this composition: Is there a volunteer (or 2-3) that want to teach the lesson today? (+5XC)

Progress Reports 1 st period- will get them on Monday. 4 th and 5 th period- today. GET THEM SIGNED BY FRIDAY MARCH 2 ND Changes – 100pt collage grade 30pt letter for café, both art assignment grades. Shoe drawing and 2 still life drawing will also be added to that grade by the end of the quarter.
