Sports The Brazilian National Soccer team has won the world cup five times and they have played every world cup tournament. The yellow color of the teams jersey gives them the nickname of Canarinho meaning little canary. Basketball is very popular in brazil, so popular that they have training centers and camps for people to go to. Brazils Basketball National Team is famous for winning the Basketball World Championship twice in both the years of 1959 and The basketball team is well known for their outstanding performance in the arena

Culture/Customs Brazilian friends often hug and backslap each other in a form of greeting. Whenever you get invited to a house in Brazil, you either bring flowers or a gift to the hostess. Men shake hands while having steady eye contact and women generally kiss each other in the cheeks starting at the left. If you get invited to a large gathering or party in Brazil, you arrive at least 1 hour late Brazil got their language from the Portuguese, including the architecture and the Roman- Germanic legal system. Foreigners influenced Brazil’s arts, food, language, religion, song, and dance.

Economy Brazils state-run oil company Petrobras concentrates on their primary role to develop recently discovered offshore oil reserves. Brazils economy created jobs at the fastest pace during the past 11 months. Brazils economic rank is one of the highest of the countries in South America with large and growing agriculture, mining, manufacturing, and service sectors. The things that Brazil trade are as follows: coffee, citrus juice, soybeans, wheat, rice, corn, sugarcane, cocoa, cotton, tobacco, and bananas. The leading manufacturing industries in Brazil produce textiles, shoes, chemicals, steel, aircraft, motor vehicles and parts, and machinery.
